Awarding of the First JOSO Prize during the 2nd CESPM

In the course of this meeting it was a pleasure for the JOSO-president, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Arnold Hanslmeier, together with the sponsor Mr. Hans Roth, Austrian Saubermacher Company,

to present the First Joso Prize to

Mr. Laurent Gizon

The handing-over of the prize for an outstanding paper of a young scientist was carried out in the presence of numerous prominent figures from politics, economy and media during a festive evening-reception for the winner.

The First JOSO Prize for an outstanding paper of a young scientist was given in a ceremony to Laurent Gizon was selected by an international refereeing committee consisting of 6 persons from different fields in solar physics. The prize was sponsored by the Austrian Saubermacher Company, Mr. Hans Roth. We wish the winner all the best for his further research and thank the referees for their tremendous work.
